Trust God

Though one of the most cliché things a person can advise, it is also one of the most powerful and accurate answers to uncertainty. Trusting God simply says that you don’t have all the pieces of the puzzles, but that you will continue to walk forward believing that at the appointed time he will make the path known.

It’s not an overnight skill but a daily and gradual process.

Feelings are not reliable in this journey, but knowledge of the scriptures that remind you of things like: “He is Emmanuel; God with us” (Matthew 1:23) and “He will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5) or “I am the Lord and I change not” (Malachi 3:6) and “Commit you way to the Lord, trust Him and He will act” (Psalms 37:5).

No one ever has all the answers – and I do mean no one; but thankfully we don’t always have to.

Painful and frustrating as it may be having to relinquish control and submit to the guarantee of an answer, not having the foreknowledge to plan for what that answer may be is just one of God’s love tactics in helping us to grow.

In times when everything is a blur and you need direction, pray and leave it. When anxiety starts to step in, pray and leave it. Remind yourself of who God is. No good parent abandons or ignores their child in time of need. Jesus is no different, but He is better; and He’s got you.

Be encouraged. God bless!
