More Than Meets The Eye
I remember relaxing on my balcony and God asked me a question. He asked me what I noticed about a large tree that was adjacent to me. As I began to describe it’s exterior, He said,
“You would think that there nothing going on with this tree, but the roots and leaves are working constantly. Have you ever noticed that you could go to sleep one night and the next morning there’s fruit on the tree, and you wonder where it came from all of a sudden?”
I smiled and answered in the affirmative. He said that just because you don’t see anything happening on the outside, it doesn’t mean that nothing is happening on the inside.
My encouragement to you in this special moment is not to become despondent just because you or others can’t see the internal work that God is doing in you; it doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. One day, at the appointed time, the fruit will manifest itself for all (and you) to see.
Take courage in these love words to you taken from His Word in
Philippians 1:6:
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”
Remember, there is more to you than meets the eye.
Selah (pause and think on these things)
